On November 18, 2012, I married my best friend.
And Kelly Kollar took some really amazing photos of it.

All-Camp A-Camp Photo
So everything’s been so busy and jammed the past few days that I haven’t yet blogged about my amazing adventure to A-Camp! Last weekend I was blessed to be a part of 200 Queer women who clustered together from all over the place to hug each other, hold panels, make stuff, and play together in the mountains of Southern California. It’s beyond my literary power to describe the pure feelings of love coming from every individual from the first moments we all met. It was like for 3 days we created our own peaceful Sappho village. We all had our minds blown by the flood of crushing on everyone you meet because everyone was so smart/witty/stylish/brave/talented/charismatic/awkward/adorable /kind/honest/gentle and all the wonderful qualities that come from gathering the Autostraddle community!

One of the best parts about the Autostraddle community was that we all knew we would find each other online and keep our camp feelings going. Well, everyone’s surpassed the expectations, and A-Camp has seized it’s territory on Facebook, Twitter, and now Tumblr. We all feel as though we went home with a newfound family of friends (& possibly lovers). We all had our hearts open to each other in ways that I don’t think could have happened in another environment or in a shorter period of time. It was just so special, y’all.
We are the first class of A-Camp alumni.
